Part 3: Create a Ringy feed for a form
A feed tells the website which form to send, and which answers go to which Ringy field. Repeat these steps for each form you want to send to Ringy.
- Go to Forms in the left menu.
- Hover over the form you want to send, and click Settings.
- Click GravityCerts in the settings menu on the left.
- Click Add New.
- Type a Name for the feed, for example Ringy Lead.
- Under Action, choose Ringy.
Match the form fields to Ringy
- In the Lead Fields section, use the dropdowns to choose which form field fills each Ringy field:
- First Name and Last Name: choose the first and last name parts of your Name field.
- Email: choose your email field.
- Phone Number: choose your phone field. This one is required. The website cleans it up for you (it keeps 10 digits and drops a leading 1).
Send extra information (optional)
Want the ZIP code, the products they asked about, or the page they came from to show up in Ringy? Add them in the Additional Fields table.
- In the left column (Ringy Field Name), type the field name exactly as it is set up in Ringy, including capital letters. For example:
zip_code. - In the right column (Form Field), choose the form field that holds the answer. If it’s a checkbox field, all the checked answers are sent together, separated by commas.
- Click the + button to add another row for each extra piece of information.
Tip: The names have to match the lead vendor’s field names in Ringy. To add a new field, open your lead vendor in Ringy, scroll to the lead field mapping, type the new field name and press Enter, then save. After that, type the same name in the left column here.
Ideas for extra fields (you pick the names in Ringy):
- ZIP code
- Products requested
- Notes or comments
- Lead source or the page URL (use the merge tag
{embed_url}in the right column) - Ad tracking values such as UTM source and campaign (these need hidden fields on your form to capture them)
Choose which leads to send (optional)
By default every submission is sent. To send only some of them:
- Scroll to Feed Condition and check Enable Condition.
- Set the rule. For example, Execute Feed if “Producer” “is” (leave empty) to skip leads that already have a producer.
Save the feed
- Leave the Lead Vendor SID and Lead Vendor Auth Token boxes in the feed empty. They’re only needed if this form should go to a different Ringy lead vendor than the one you saved in Part 2. If you fill one in, fill in both.
- Click Update Settings to save the feed.
Part 4: Test it
- Open the form on your website and submit it with a test name (for example, TEST DO NOT CONTACT) and a phone number you control.
- In WordPress, go to Forms > Entries and open the newest entry.
- Look at the Ringy box on the right side. A successful send says Accepted by Ringy and shows a Lead ID. The entry’s notes also say Ringy lead created.
- In Ringy, open the lead and check that the name, email, phone and any extra fields came through.
Heads up: a test lead is a real lead in Ringy, so it can trigger calls or texts to the phone number you used. Let your team know before you test, and delete the test lead afterward.
What happens if a send doesn’t work
- Ringy is temporarily unavailable: the website tries again automatically up to 3 more times, after about 1, 5 and 15 minutes.
- Ringy rejects the lead (for example, the SID or Auth Token is wrong): the entry shows Failed with Ringy’s message. Fix the problem, then open the entry and click Resend to Ringy in the Ringy box.
- No phone number: the lead isn’t sent, and the Ringy box tells you why.
- Each lead is sent once. If Ringy already has the lead, Resend to Ringy asks you to confirm first, because sending it again can create a duplicate.
Common questions
An extra field isn’t showing up in Ringy.
The field name almost always doesn’t match. Compare the name in the feed’s left column with the field name in your Ringy lead vendor. Capital letters and underscores count. Fix it, then use Resend to Ringy on the entry.
I don’t see Ringy as an Action.
The SID and Auth Token haven’t been saved yet. Go back to Part 2, fill in both boxes and click Update Settings.
Can I send different forms to different Ringy accounts?
Yes. In the feed for that form, fill in both the Lead Vendor SID and Lead Vendor Auth Token boxes with the details from the other lead vendor.
Still stuck? Contact GravityCerts support and include the entry number so we can take a look.
