Uploading files to contacts in GoHighLevel is a new feature using GravityCerts new Version 2 integration. GoHighLevel’s new integration requires a Private Integration Key, and Location ID, in replacement of the old API Key.

Creating a Files Custom Field in GHL
GoHighLevel does not allow file uploads by default. A File custom field must be created to allow file uploads. To do this log into your GoHighLevel account and create a new custom field with field type File Upload.
- Go to Settings, then select Custom Fields
- Click Create Custom Field
- Select File Upload field type
- Select the Contact option for Add to object
- Enter a descriptive name for this field
- In Supported file types select All
- Enable Allow users to upload multiple files
- In Number of max files, enter a large number like 20 or 50
- Click Create Custom Field

Go to your Contacts, select a contact record, then scroll down to locate your new Files field you created. This is where files will be upload into from your GravityCerts website.
Note: If you want to create multiple File upload custom fields you may repeat the last steps to create multiple file upload fields.
GravityCerts allows you to upload files into multiple custom file upload fields for improved organization. By default, all files will upload into a single custom file field.
Configuring your website forms to upload files to GHL
First verify your website is connected using the Private Integration Key and Location ID, and you have already created your file upload custom field(s) in GHL first.
From your website admin dashboard, click View Integrations. Or from the left navigation menu go to Forms => Settings, then click GravityCerts.
In the Automate365 / GoHighLevel box click Sync. This will pull your current custom fields, including any file upload files you have already created in GHL. Then scroll to the bottom, and click Update Settings.
Next, visit your Forms list, then for an individual form go to Settings => GravityCerts.
Update a current feed to upload files, or Create a New feed to upload files.
If you have an existing feed that creates contacts in GoHighLevel / Automate365, locate the feed in the list (if you have multiple feeds), hover over it and click Edit.
Locate the File Upload section of this feed.
Upload All Files to One Field
By default Upload all form attachments to one field is selected.
Select your GHL file upload custom field in the Upload To field (The screenshot above is an example of a GHL custom file upload field named “Files”).
Make sure to click Save Settings at the bottom of the page.
Upload Files to Multiple Fields
If you have multiple file upload fields within your form, you may choose to upload each file upload form field to separate custom GHL file upload fields.
Why would you want to do this? Improved organization for complex forms.
Example 1: Your commercial form has a file upload field asking for Dec pages, and another file upload field asking for Certificate Requirements. Dec pages could upload into one uploads field in GHL, while the certificate requirement upload into a different upload field.
Example 2: Your personal lines form asks to upload pictures of their home, has a second field to upload Dec pages, and a third upload field to upload Scheduled Personal Property appraisals. In GHL you could have 3 custom file upload fields for each of these three form fields to upload into.
In your feed settings select Choose which fields map to which GHL fields.
Files changes to File Field Mapping. Map each GHL custom file upload field to the appropriate form upload field.
Make sure to click Save Settings at the bottom of the page.
